Fostering Children in Buckinghamshire

People from all backgrounds become foster carers. You don’t need any specific qualifications, and some of our carers haven’t been birth parents themselves. We seek individuals in Buckinghamshire with big hearts, resilience, and compassion. We’re searching for those with a good sense of humor who can offer young people, who haven’t had the best start in life, loving and stable homes in Buckinghamshire. We aim to create a safe environment where young people feel cared for and integrated into the family. Whether you’re fostering alone or with a partner, in rented accommodation or local authority housing, as long as we have agreement, you can make a difference.

Could you be our next Foster Carer?

We offer all potential foster carers the chance to speak with an experienced foster carer to help them determine if fostering is a path they’re willing to pursue. We embrace foster carers from all backgrounds in Buckinghamshire and ensure they are treated with respect throughout the process. Diversity and equality are values we prioritize in all aspects of our work.

Upon reaching out to us, we guarantee a response to all inquiries within 24 working hours. You’ll then undergo a brief questioning session and have the chance to ask questions yourself.

If the initial exchange goes smoothly and you’re interested in proceeding, a home visit will be scheduled within five working days.

.

You will need:

  • A spare room. This is essential and it is not considered a spare room if two of your children are sharing.
  • If you are fostering with a partner, you need two years of living together.
  • The time to give a young person.

Fostering Allowance:

The fostering allowance you receive increases depending on the needs of the children and the number of children you have placed. As a foster carer you are self employed and most foster carers do not pay tax on what they receive. You will receive a minimum of £450 a week when you foster with Apex.
